CAR: 1995 Accord as of 03/05/04 158K miles on chassis– with 1994 H22A – 60K approx. miles. UPDATE:
I ran a compression test on the engine
completely cold and results were 205-210 PSI on each of the 4 cylinders..
There does apear to be 3 joints in the spark plug hole metal sleaves.
TROUBLESHOOTING: I’ll continue to check the spark
plug holes every day when returning home from work. I’ll make not to drive it in the rain and keep the car covered or in the garage to eliminate any possiblity of rain water coming in.
Above are the 3 joints that I noticed in the spark plug hole sleave in the valve head. #1 at the valve cover gasket, #2 near the middle and #3 just above the
cylinder chamber spark plug hole.
I pulled the plugs just to check their condition and other than looking like my air/fuel setting might be a little rich the plugs looked okay. All 4 plugs
looked like the above picture. The plugs have about 3K miles on them.
