08/27/04 Fourth dragstrip test - 1995 Accord EX JDM H22A (4cyl) 4dr 5sp Manual & 1st test Quaife LSD transmission.

I ran about 17 times and still was not able to beat my to date best time of 14.871 which was on 3/20/04. Again I had my
heavier 17” rims and Falken tires to get less spin but my 60 foot times were about the same. My consistancy was way off this time. Several older classic cars (Mustangs,.Galaxy, etc.,) and a bunch of Harley drag bikes
were racing so that was fun to watch. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my digital camera with me so no pics from the event! oops!
RESULTS:
Car # 4228: R/T = .293, 60’ = 2.304, 330 = 6.408, 1/8 = 9.761
@ 73.49MPH, 1000' = 12.635, 1/4 = 15.044 @ 93.27MPH
DETAILS:
Other than the 17” heavier rims and tires, everything on the car (full interior) was the same as the 05/01/04 test run w/ about 1/8th tank of 92 pump
gas. I did have an overheating problem for a couple of runs where the temp gauge was getting pretty hot. I think it was due to the radiator fans not turning on soon enough. I may try installing a colder
thermostat and a fan bypass switch to switch them on manually.
