Autocross at Portland Internation Raceway (PIR) Portland Oregon on 03/20/05

03/20/05 - Ok here’s the line up on the staging grid with some racers. The track was semi-wet in the morning and a down pour later that afternoon.

Place: PIR from about 7:00AM to 5:00PM. Apx. Temps. F.=40’s to 50’s with light to heavy rain and various medium wind.
The track is was fairly open but did have a lot of slaloms in it. I stayed in 2nd gear all the way around.

UNOFFICIAL RESULTS:  Car # 77: (My and a few other cars were for time only and not points.
Placement is based on times and not on actual points results)
My best time was: 0:57.564 Overall, I placed 64th out of 81 cars and in the Novice class I placed 13th out of 14th.
Hey I beat an 04 WRX Sti :) OK it rained more on him and he probably hit some cones but I’ll take it anyway! LOL.

CAR DETAILS AT TIME OF RACE:
1995 Honda Accord EX Sedan
GAS= 3/4 or more tank and 92 Octane pump gas. Woops forgot to use the gas up before race time!
VEHICLE WEIGHT: Normally 2,750 without driver, 2,900 with driver but w/ 3/4 of a tank of gas & seats more like 3,000lbs.
ENGINE: 1994 JDM H22A 5 speed manual (Quaife LSD) with about 176WHP.
TRANS: 5sp Manual Transmission with Quaife Limited Slip Differential, light flywheel and ACT clutch.
WHEELS: 5zigen 17x7.0 Wheels, 215/45/ZR17 “ZIEX’s” Falken Tires”
NEW: Urethane bushings and ball joints all the way around.
