This is a guide to replacing the rear upper ball joints on a 1995 Honda Accord EX Sedan.
Installation: Moderately Easy. NOTE: Check with your Honda dealer parts department for correct part #’s.
Tools needed: 
1. Honda ball joint remover Honda part # 07MAC-SL00100 (Cost around $175.00 in 2004 from the Honda dealer) or a pickle fork but the Honda tool is SO MUCH BETTER & won’t rip the rubber cover like a pickle fork will. 
2. Various metric sockets and ratchet and a torque wrench.
3. 2 new upper arms including the ball joints:
LEFT part # 52400-SM1-A04 RIGHT part # 52390-SM1-A04 (Cost ~ $80 each USD in 2004 from Honda dealer)
4. Multipurpose suspension grease: I used valvoline from Napa part # 614.VAO ($3.00 USD in 2004)
5. 2 new cotter pins - Get them anywhere but Napa has pretty good prices (5 cents each compared to the dealer I checked with of about 50 cents each.
TOTAL COST IN PARTS = Approximately $ 163.10 without the Honda ball joint separator tool. If you are going to be doing any more ball joint replacements I highly recommend spending the $175.00 on this tool as it rocks!

Do your ball joint rubber covers look like this? Cracked, grease leaking out, etc? Better check them to make sure because my 95 Accord after 150K miles looked like this.
Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to replace your rear upper ball joints. You replace the entire upper arm with a new arm which comes with a nice new ball joint and ball joint cover from Honda dealer.
