I played around with the car today, did a few things etc.
Since I removed the f22b out of my 94 accord, I figured it would be a good opportunity to
detail the engine bay, came up sparkling in all those usually hard to reach places.
I also sat there for about half an hour and straightening all the radiator fins with a hobby screw driver, then cleaned it
by spraying degreaser all over the fins both sides and steam cleaning it (hot water pressure wash), the amount of crap that came out of there I started to wonder how my cooling system ever managed to never overheat
or even run hot. I also used an aluminium cleaner and made a brown radiator all silver and new looking. Cleaned all the fans and their housings too...looks great now.
Also took out the air- con
radiator, did the same thing as before (this one took ages as it had had so many things hit it that most of the fins that you can normally see through the bumper were nearly
folded over virtually blocking all air flo. I can now see through the fins as twice as much crap than the radiator (bugs, dirt etc) came out with a steam clean as well.
Since the air con radiator had
been painted factory black and most of what you could see of it through the front bar had been blasted back to aluminium I gave it a coat of GMH black with a spray gun.
Flushed out the radiator too, while I
was scrubbing the engine bay I noticed that the front engine mount needed replacing, the rubber has torn away from the inside of the metal mount. Will get one from Honda on Monday.
Bolted in my new clear taillights, rear end looks great now, they go really well with the dark green/black paint.
I'll start attacking my prelude front cut tonight and get the h22a out of it.
cheers, Cam.
