I Finally lowered my car by replacing my springs and shocks!

The following was installed on my 1990 Honda Accord 4dr EX Auto

Eibach 1.25” drop Pro-kit springs & KYB GR2 non-adjustable Shocks.

I was planning on installing these myself but a local shop installed them for me for $ 148.40 (for labor I bought the parts myself) and I couldn’t resist the low install price as I was too busy with other projects. It’s a good thing I let them install the springs and shocks as it took them 6 hours with air tools, a car lift and a professional mechanic to complete the install.

Installation tips:
1. The mechanic said he had to remove the top part of the back seat to be able to get
his air tools to fit on the top of the back shock mounts. My helm manual said nothing
about removing the seat so I was a bit suprised he had to do this.
2 . The back new springs did not need to be compressed to install but the front springs did.
my guess is the reason is because this is the pro-kit with only a 1.25” drop. The
sportline kit with a 1.8” drop probably would not need compressed for installation.
Obviously the stock springs needed compressing in order to be removed.

Disclaimer: This is not meant as a complete installation guide. Please refer to a good Honda repair manual such as
“Helm”. Also, be aware that anytime you work under a car it can be very dangerous. please take the proper safety precautions! Always use proper jack stands. Last don’t blame me for any installation you do as I’m just an amateur like the rest of you out there, so install at your own risk ;o)
