I’m not sure why but both the DC Sports and the Helms manual say to remove the dipstick. It really didn’t look like it would be in the way of anything during the
install but I removed it anyway just in case. |

Using a 17mm socket on the bolt, loosen but DO NOT REMOVE,
the front motor mount 17MM bolt just enough to be able to take the motor mount nut off and slide the bolt to the left for better clearance when removing and installing the header. Be careful not to damage the tab on the nut. Just hold the nut in place with a 17mm wrench so it doesn’t move.
