Well let’s get our hands dirty and begin. Here’s the stock header complete with a heat shield that says “HOT”. Needless to say you want your car to be
completely cold before beginning this installation. And as a general safety rule try not to touch the engine when it’s hot ;oP |

There are three 12mm bolts holding the heat shield on. Two at the top and one near the bottom. Spray them with rust penetrating spray. While the spray is doing it’s job over the next 10 or so minutes now’s a good time to go on to the next step. |
